The Space
Set within a 1-acre property surrounded by lush greenery, Neermathalam is home to towering trees, serene outdoor spaces, and a peaceful atmosphere, offering a perfect retreat for nature lovers

Rooms & Bathrooms – 5 rooms accommodating up to 9 guests (2 on the ground floor, 3 on the first floor). Two ground-floor rooms feature air conditioning (available at an additional charge). There are 3 bathrooms (2 on the ground floor, 1 outdoor) and an additional small urinal on the first floor for convenience.

Refreshing Pools – Enjoy the Earth Pool, filled with natural pond water, complimentary with your stay. The Side Pool can be filled upon request (extra charge).

Fully Equipped Kitchen – Just like in old Tharavadus, cooking together can be an experience! The kitchen is stocked with utensils; guests only need to bring their ingredients.

Unique Attic ("Thattumpuram") – Reminiscent of childhood hideaways, this cozy attic space is perfect for relaxing or adding extra beds (available at an additional charge).

Caretaker Assistance – Available from 9 AM to 5 PM. Hosts are just a call away for any assistance.

Food at Your Convenience – Relish homely flavors with doorstep delivery from Palakkad’s top restaurants via Swiggy/Zomato or opt for a local catering service.

Photos just don't do justice to describing this place. It's a well preserved piece of architecture that is sure to make you feel nostalgic. It takes 2 seconds to fall in love with this place and the nature that surrounds it. Mr Ravindranath is a gem of a host. From a warm welcome note to seeing up things neat and tidy, showing us the tour of this warm home, his attention to details and help with anything you'd want at anytime, he is one of the best hosts I've met. Make sure you plan extra time just to spend time at this beautiful ancestral home!

The memories of our stay will last forever. Traditional swing and pools were totally enjoyable for all ages. Home was maintained at its best condition with authentic traditional style. Living there refreshed my childhood memories and felt very close to nature.
Mr. & Mrs. Raveendranath welcomed and made us very comfortable at home. They accommodated all our needs and requests at very short notice. We all loved their hospitality.

If you thought Palakkad was a laid back beautiful small town, then Neermathalam is a revelation. It is even more laid back. Seethed in traditional construction, the place is beautifully tucked in a nook surrounded by paddy fields, mango farms and unadulterated nature. We even saw peacocks :) The highlight is that the entire family (owners of the property) come down to welcome you and see you off! Very loving, warm and friendly bunch of people. Comfortable room, Oonjal, functional kitchen and an attic to hide :) If you are a 70s-80s kid, then you will be transported back to your grandparent's home.
